Houston Children’s Charity 25th Annual Gala presents PAT BENATAR & NEIL GIRALDO!
It wasn’t just the persuasive encouragement of trial lawyer Tony Buzbee, dashing in a black-sequined dinner jacket, that sent proceeds soaring for the many youngsters served by Houston Children’s Charity. The nonprofit’s CEO Laura Ward did her share to nudge loose considerable dinero while auctioneer Vikki Vines wielded the gavel that confirmed it all. The final take for the charity’s gala held at The Post Oak Hotel was a record $2.8 million.
In celebration of Houston Children’s Charity’s 25th year, the newlywed couple chaired the ’80s-themed “We Just Want to Have Fun!” gala at the Post Oak Hotel and raised more than $2.8 million, a record for the organization and marker for the city.
Citizens for Animal Protection – presented the Cherished Companions award to Frances Moody Buzbee & Tony Buzbee who were chairs of the 2019 Gala that raised almost $800,000 dollars.
Over the last 2 years, Tony has donated 15 wheelchair accessible vans thru Houston Children’s Charity program, Chariots for Children.

FORT WORTH, Texas – Anthony G. Buzbee and his law firm gave a $1 million endowment to Texas A&M University School of Law in April. The Anthony G. Buzbee Dean’s Endowed Chair is the first-ever endowment gift of its kind dedicated to faculty, specifically the dean.
The Buzbee center was completed during summer 2012, and is located between Harrell and Lacy halls in the Corps quadrangle. The center provides academic study and tutoring for cadets. Gov. Rick Perry, class of 1972, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Over the last 10 years, The Buzbee Law Firm has given away (biennially) more than 1,000 bicycles per year at Christmas for Houston’s needy children.
The “vacant lot” across Friendswood Drive from the Friends Church was anything but vacant on the Saturday before Christmas.
Tony Buzbee donated $3.5 Million worth of luxury vehicles to Charity, The Jesse Tree, a non-profit that provides food, clothing, job training, and medical assistance to thousands of residents.
“There is more to life than seeing how many cars or planes or houses you can own,” Buzbee said of his donation to the Jesse Tree, a faith-based non-profit that provides food, clothing, job training and medical assistance to thousands of Galveston County residents each year. “The donation will feed thousands of people for a very long time.”
